Radiusing is the creation of a radius on the edge of a work-piece. A radiused edge may be desired if a part has a sharp edge.
Mass finishing processes are commonly used for radiusing. A slight edge break, or very light radius, could be achieved in a vibratory bowl or a simple tumble barrel. If a significant, measurable radius is required, a mass finishing system using high energy equipment, such as centrifugal discs or centrifugal barrels, may be the best choice.
