The process yields a high luster, almost polished look. This finish is achieved from the high bulk density of the steel media imparting great pressure onto the work-piece surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compound selection is very important in ball burnishing applications. It is also imperative that the equipment for the process be appropriate for ball burnishing. The equipment must be robust enough to turn, or roll, the media and the mass.
